The inspiring story of Andrew Montzingo: a little person's love for basketball

NBC Story Series honors the amazing story of coach Andrew Montzingo. Coach Zingo, as student-athletes call him, is a little person who has always been a sports fan and student of the game of basketball. He fell in love with coaching when he was in middle school. As a professional educator, Zingo has learned to see basketball from his own unique perspective offering insights missed by others.

NBC Basketball believes every angle of the game should be studied and explored. Having a little person on staff is a unique way to see the game from a new vantage point.

Coach Zingo also has important off the court lessons to teach student athletes about resilience, the will to overcome bias, and the grit to keep opening doors for what you love.

At NBC Camps we don't just highlight those campers and coaches of ours who make it to the NBA or WNBA, we love those campers too, but we also want to highlight people who serve and love the game in a variety of capacities.
