Boys Travel Team to Australia Wrapping Up Selections

Coaches and staff for NBC Boys Basketball Travel Team to Australia are making final selections for summer 2017. Boys selected so far are from California, Alaska, Oregon, and Washington. Boys ages 15-19 were chosen by NBC Coaches and Directors based on basketball skill, leadership ability and moral character. The team will come together for a private training camp which will focus on play making, working together, travel instructions and preparation. After leaving the US, the boys and their coaches will play teams in and around Sydney, Australia visiting host families, touring Sydney and the surrounding countryside.

"Holding a koala bear at the wildlife park was amazing. One of my favorite parts of the tour was playing against a team from Sydney, the competition was really fierce and we ended up winning in overtime," says former NBC Australian Travel Team Member Steve W.

NBC Basketball Camps have sent travel teams to Australia from 1984 to the early 1990s when their main contact left and moved to Austria. NBC Camps is excited to be back in the land down under and provide amazing opportunities for travel in and around Sydney.
