1 I don't see my camper in the Customer Portal. What do I do?
Log into your account and check the cart. It may show the enrollment status as pending because you have not completed the payment process. Once you complete payment, your camper will appear in your Enrollments tab.
You can add a camper in the enrollments tab using the confirmation number and the camper's date of birth. If it does not work, you may be entering the incorrect confirmation number or date of birth.

2 What is your Cancellation and Refund Policy?
If you need to cancel for any reason up until one week prior to camp check-in, you will receive a full camp credit voucher for tuition fees* paid, good through the following year. If you cancel within one week of your camp starting, you will receive a half credit voucher of tuition fees* paid, due to camp fees incurred by NBC in advance of the program based on number of registered campers. Credit vouchers are transferable to any immediate family member and may be used for any sport. Participants who DO NOT attend their registered session without the aforementioned communication (no-shows for any reason) will not receive a credit voucher or refund.
To receive a refund instead of a camp voucher, you must purchase the Cancellation Protection plan (see terms below). However, if you cancel after your cancellation deadline, you will receive a camp voucher per the policy above.
CANCELLATION PROTECTION
The Cancellation Protection fee can be purchased for $100 per camp session and is only available during your initial registration. In order to receive a credit card refund or check refund for tuition fees* you must cancel before your cancellation protection deadline. Cancellation deadlines are one month from your camp start date. (Example: camp starts July 15, cancellation deadline is June 15)
If you cancel after your Camp Cancellation Protection date and at least one week prior to camp check-in, you will be issued a camp credit voucher for all tuition fees* paid, valid for any NBC Camps event good through December 31st of the following calendar year. You cannot purchase Cancellation Protection after your registration has been processed. If you cancel within one week of your camp, you will receive a camp voucher for half the tuition fees* paid.
*Camp Tuition Fee does not include the registration fee, cancellation protection fee, or any other item or gear purchased.
Please note: Cancellation Protection and Registration Fee are non-refundable. Pre-ordered gear is non-refundable after the order deadline.
If NBC cancels your student-athlete's camp due to COVID-related facility closures, government mandates or other circumstances, you will automatically be issued a credit voucher for your tuition fees* paid which can be applied to any NBC Camps event through the following year and used by any immediate family member.

5 What if I sign up but need to change the week of camp I am attending or even the location?
Moving from one week of camp to another or even a different location is typically not a problem and very easy to do as long as there is space available in the new camp. Please call 1-800-406-3926 or email nbc@nbccamps.com and we would be happy to make any changes you need.
If the camp you are switching to costs more, you will need to pay the balance at the time of change. If it costs less, we will refund you the difference.
The only time we should not be able to help you move is if the camp you desire to move to is full.
6 Where do I find more information on what to bring, directions, required health forms, etc.?
The camp webpage for your specific camp will have the details you need for camp regarding check-in/check-out times, packing list and more. You will also find the required forms and more camp information when you log into the customer portal. Camp Directors typically send an informational email within 2 weeks of your camp start date. Make sure to check your junk/spam folder for more information.
A doctor's note and physical are not required to attend camp. Only the NBC Health and Release form completed online in the Customer Portal.
7 Is there religion at your camp?
NBC Camps is a sports camp based on Christian principles of compassion, tolerance, respect and belief in Christ. Athletes of all faiths have attended and do attend our camps. We believe every person should pursue his or her own personal faith. Part of our life skills training involves encouraging athletes to know what they believe. Studies show students who have a strong personal faith do better in school, make better life choices, and are less likely to be involved in drugs and alcohol. On the final night of overnight camps, coaches typically share how God has helped them become a stronger athlete and person. Our hope is for athletes to be complete physically, mentally and spiritually. If you have questions or concerns about this topic, please contact Jennifer Ferch at jennifer@nbccamps.com. She would love to answer any questions.

- The extended day option (typically from 8:30am-9:00pm). Campers participate in evening activities at camp, but sleep and eat breakfast at home.
- The day camper option (typically from 9:00am to 3:00pm or 4:00pm).
12 Dorm Arrangements and Roommate Requests
Dorm Arrangements
When a camper signs up for an overnight camp, they are placed in a typical college dormitory in a double room. We pair campers with their roommate request. If that cannot be accommodated, or there is no specific request, campers will be placed with a camper the same age. Each overnight camp is monitored and supervised in the dorms by our camp staff.
Roommate Requests
You can request a roommate at time of registration or send us an email at least two weeks before camp to add a request, nbc@nbccamps.com. It is important to the NBC Camps’ staff that campers are able to room with their friends. We will do everything we can to make this possible.
13 What camp should I choose?
First, determine the camper's skill level. New and younger athletes are recommended for the Complete Skills Junior Day Camps and Complete Skills Day Camps. Overnight camp is rigorous and best experienced when old enough to be away from home. We recommend our Complete Player Basketball and Volleyball camps to intermediate to advanced athletes ages 9-18. Advanced players (those who are some of the top players in their age bracket who are 14 and older) should consider our Intensive Camps, College Basketball Prep Camp or High School Advanced Skills Camps.
14 For what ages are NBC Camps programs available?
NBC Camps offers a number of programs for a variety of age groups. Most of our camps accept participants between the ages of 9-18, however, some of our day camps will accept those as young as 8. The NBC College Basketball Prep Camp is for high school and college students ages 14-19 years old.
15 Are the campers placed into groups based on age or skill level?
Both. Lead Coaches divide campers into groups based on age first. Then campers are evaluated by the staff as they go through a series of skill testing drills. Campers who would clearly benefit from being moved to a higher group will be asked if they would like to move. Campers who were not selected, but feel they would benefit from moving to a higher group can request further evaluation from the Lead Coach. NBC Camps always tries to honor the requests of the camper while maintaining what is best for the group.
16 Medication, Dietary Needs, Allergies, Etc.
What are the medication policies?
We have trainers at most of our overnight camp locations. We urge the parent and camper to talk with the trainers if there are any pre-existing conditions you are concerned about.
What if I have dietary needs?
We at NBC Camps aim to be very flexible and are willing and ready to work with campers and their parents to accommodate certain dietary needs. If your child has food allergies or dietary needs please add these to your registration under the medical conditions/allergy section. You can also contact the NBC Central Office at 1-800-406-3926 and we will get you in touch with the Camp Director and add additional notes to your campers registration for the Director. The Director will make sure that the information is passed on to the Food Service Manager in charge and special dietary needs will be accommodated whenever/wherever possible.
What if I have a physical disability?
If you have a physical disability that requires special attention other than what can be provided by a physical trainer, please contact the NBC Central Office at nbc@nbccamps.com.
What do I do if I get homesick?
First of all, we strongly suggest you come to camp with a friend. Having a familiar roommate and friend greatly reduces the likelihood of homesickness. We also strongly recommend our extended day camp for those who may experience homesickness. At NBC Camps, we believe the more you overcome your fears, the more courageous you will be. Therefore, we encourage campers to work through their homesickness through positive thinking, keeping active, developing friendships, and talking with staff. If the camper’s homesickness becomes too disruptive, the trainer and/or site Director will contact the parents. In rare cases, a child may be sent home at the parents’ expense. Every effort will be made to support and encourage the camper to complete his or her week at camp.
17 What is the safety like at your camps?
Safety is our first priority. We work very hard to make sure our camps are safe. Campers are under careful supervision. Staff are personally hired by Directors and everyone receives extensive scrutiny, including background checks. The NBC Camps Leadership teams have children. We understand, as parents, what safety should be required - safe facilities, safe staff, and safe interactions with other campers. We work extremely hard to go above and beyond safety expectations. Because we believe in the value of overnight camps, we also know the privilege you give us as parents to host your children overnight. This is a privilege we treat with the highest regard. Our goal is to love your kids like we do our own and expect nothing less.
18 Is transportation to and from the camp available?
We do not help with any transportation to and from camp. It is the families responsibility to get to and from camp.
19 Do you have services for early drop-off or late pick-up?
We do not offer early drop-off or late pick up services. We kindly request you arrive to camp on time and pick up your camper on time.
20 Should I be concerned there are boys and girls at camp together?
There is no need for concern at NBC Camps. We are not a dating camp and campers are kept segregated during the majority of the week. Campers are supervised as much as possible and socially interacting with campers of the opposite gender is not allowed. NBC Camps is a serious program designed for only those who want to improve in their sport.
21 How do I get a coaching or athletic training job at NBC Camps?
Each camp Director is responsible for hiring their own staff and typically hire in early spring. If you are interested in applying for a position, please visit our Summer Employment Page.
22 How do I request a brochure? Can I get enough for my team?
Each camp page will have a Download Brochure button towards the top. Follow directions from there to receive either an instant download PDF brochure, or place your request to have a printed brochure mailed to you.
To request brochures for your team, call or email NBC Camps. Let us know which sport and how many brochures you need and we'll get them mailed to you right away.
23 Do you offer financial aid?
Athletes who cannot afford the cost of camp may request financial assistance through our scholarship program. If you feel you qualify for financial assistance, please email us for a scholarship application. We begin sending and accepting applications in January of the camp year.
Here is the scholarship application form. Please note this scholarship aid is first come first served and is entirely based on financial need. Financial records will be requested for committee review.
