Why Contemplation Matters
To contemplate means to stop and thoughtfully consider. Contemplation is not just thinking about something. It is a deep and purposeful consideration about your life and where it is heading.
Your brain is the most complex creation on the planet. It has 86 billion neurons which each make 10 thousand connections. As you take in the information around you, you are creating a pattern or a philosophy for your life by which all your decisions, thoughts and actions originate.
Whether you like it or not, you are imitating life around you. Some people live totally unaware of the life they are living. They live in reaction, and unconscious thinking. Life happens and they respond. Some people live in conscious opposition to those around them. They see the people around them and purposely try to live opposite of what they see. Some people find the highest examples of mentors, those who are truly worthy of imitation and intentionally work to imitate their level of skill, expertise, wisdom and insight. When you are willing to contemplate and consider deeply the life you aspire to live, you will maximize your actions to be the best you can be.
Why Contemplation is Important
Contemplation decreases stress. Stress is public health enemy number one. Living in stress releases cortisol into the blood stream which is very damaging to your overall wellness, immune system and ability to solve problems.
