This camp is designed to improve ball handling, shooting, teamwork, and defense while building confidence on and off the court. Our experienced coaches create a fun, intense environment, guiding campers through scrimmages, team play, and leadership development. OVERNIGHT CAMP INFORMATION
Daily Times for all Overnight & Extended Day: First-day check-in begins at 12:30 pm for overnight and extended day campers. Extended Day times from 9:00 am-9:00 pm daily and end on the final day at 4:00 pm with the overnight campers (Director will provide exact drop-off and pick-up times)
EXTENDED DAY CAMPER SCHEDULE
First day: 12:30 pm-9:00 pm. Lunch and dinner are provided.
Middle days: 9:00 am-9:00 pm. Lunch and dinner are provided.
Last day: 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Lunch provided.
Extended-day campers DO NOT sleep on campus or eat breakfast on campus.
CAMP DESCRIPTIONS
Complete Player Basketball Camps
These camps offer training in all aspects of the sport including leadership and confidence training. NBC's Complete Player basketball curriculum is all-encompassing to help athletes develop and master skills to play the game of basketball with excellence. Complete Player camps offer overnight (complete program training) and extended day options for those who commute to and from camp each morning and evening.
ROOMMATES & HOUSING
Roommates for this site need to be requested at least two weeks before camp begins. If you have no preference, we will match you with a camper of the same gender and similar age. Contact nbc@nbccamps.com if you need to add a roommate request.

Air conditioning: Yes

Campers per room: 2-4
Bathrooms: Campers share a common bathroom
Supervision: boys and girls are separated into different dorms or different floors with coaches of the same gender staying in the dorms for supervision.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & OTHER
Ratio: approximately a 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own athletic equipment and have at least one pair of well-broken-in basketball (court) shoes. Campers do need to bring their own ball (clearly labeled with their name).
Medical Protocol: Most camps have an athletic trainer on-site to help with illness or injury. In case of an emergency, campers will be transported to the nearest hospital.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions/Medical Concerns: please include this on your registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for your camper's arrival and meals.
HEALTH & RELEASE FORMS
All registered campers are required to have a parent or legal guardian fill out the mandatory Health & Release Forms online before arrival at camp. This camp does NOT require a doctor's signature on the forms.
CAMP INFORMATION PACKET
A detailed Camp Information Packet containing check-in location and address, on-site staff contact information, a checklist of things to bring, site-specific forms, and more will be emailed to all registered campers before camp. To check if your Camp Information Packet is ready, click here.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

ABOUT THE CAMPUS
Located at the beautiful campus of Simpson University, NBC Camps at Simpson is the perfect place to experience a basketball camp unlike any other. NBC's long history of instructing athletes to become their absolute best, together with Simpson's beautiful campus, provides an ideal location for campers to pursue excellence in all areas of their lives.
Simpson University is located on a very private, secure campus near a quiet residential area of Redding, CA. Campers will be staying in beautiful residential dorms. Each room accommodates two campers, with private shower facilities. These rooms are air-conditioned. The cafeteria facility provides a green salad with fresh fruit, and hot entrees with beverages, sandwiches, and cereal stations. Evening programs are held in the main campus air-conditioned gym. Campers alternate being bussed to nearby local gyms to provide maximum competition and plenty of room for training and games.

Can my athlete attend both basketball camps at Simpson University?
Yes! We offer a combo camp that includes the Complete Player Camp and the Pure Shooting Camp.

Camp Director David Cone
Head Men's Basketball Coach David Cone took the reigns of the program in May of 2023. David Cone came to Simpson University with incredible experience including eight seasons as an assistant coach at Biola University. Cone helped Biola reach the NAIA National Championship tournament in 2015-16 and end the season with a top-5 ranking in the NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll. Coach Cone also assisted with Biola's transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II and was vital in the recruiting process. Cone was an assistant on coaching legend, Biola Head Coach, Dr. Dave Holmquist's staff. Dr. Holmquist is one of five four-year college coaches to ever win 1,000 career games. Cone also played collegiately at Biola and Wayland Baptist from 2009-2012 where they reached the NAIA National Quarterfinals twice. He graduated from Wayland Baptist in 2013 with a B.S. in Exercise and Sport Science and graduated with an M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in 2017.
