NBC Day Camps in Redding, California are designed for campers who love the game and want to learn how to play it well. NBC staff provide an encouraging and electric atmosphere for campers to have fun while learning.

CAMP DESCRIPTION
Complete Skills Junior Basketball Day Camps are designed to help you improve your ball handling, shooting, defense, and offensive skills as well as your leadership ability and confidence.
Complete Skills Day Camp: These camps offer comprehensive skill training, motivation and leadership training and NBC's intensity station within a 9am-3pm time frame. These day camps are a perfect introduction for athletes into the NBC Camp program and offer a taste of NBC excellence at a pace and intensity more suitable for younger or more beginning athletes.
INSTRUCTION, EQUIPMENT & OTHER
Ratio: approximately a 1:10 staff to camper ratio
Groupings: Campers are grouped by age, skill, and experience.
Equipment Needed: Players should supply their own athletic equipment and have at least one pair of well broken-in basketball (court) shoes. Campers do need to bring their own basketball (clearly labeled with their name). Visit our Camp Packing List for a full list of what to bring. NBC Camps is NOT responsible for lost or stolen items.
Allergies/Dietary Restrictions/Medical Concerns: please include this on your registration so campus staff and camp staff can be prepared for your camper's arrival.
TRANSPORTATION
Transportation is not provided. Campers are responsible for getting to and from camp on their own. There is no supervision before or after camp hours so please make arrangements to pick up your child on time.

Bullying Policy- Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among students that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Three types of bullying include verbal, social, and physical. At NBC Camps, we will not tolerate bullying and any reported incident will be investigated and taken seriously. Bullying behavior could result in immediate dismissal from camp.
International Travel Teams- NBC invites athletes ages 14-18 on international tours through the NBC Travel Teams program. Campers will learn about NBC tours at camp and can apply for one of our teams by contacting Travel Team Director Breanna Lyons at travelteams@nbccamps.com or visit http://www.nbccamps.com/international
PRE AND POST CAMP ONLINE BASKETBALL TRAINING VIDEOS
NBC Basketball offers six 30–45-minute online courses to help you get ready for camp and remember your training after camp. Become a strong player all year long. Add it when you register or click here to add after your registration.

Camp Director Edgar Mendez
Coach Mendez is currently in his second year at Simpson University where he has helped transform a team from a 1-10 season during COVID to back-to-back play off appearances. Coach Mendez has experience in many levels including coaching professionally in Mexico for 2 seasons. His past coaching resume includes: coaching 11 seasons in the NAIA and 2 seasons in the Junior College level. Included in his experience, is 4 seasons as a High School coach where he led his team to 3 straight CIF championship games in San Diego where he helped lead the team to the 2007 Division 2 Championship.
