Show Less See More Camp DetailsBullying Policy- Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among students that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Three types of bullying include verbal, social, and physical. At NBC Camps, we will not tolerate bullying, and any reported incident will be investigated and taken seriously. Bullying behavior could result in immediate dismissal from camp.
Intensity Night- Intensity Night is a unique NBC Camps event involving sweat, music, encouragement, and craziness. Intensity Night allows campers to work harder than they’ve ever worked before, and they’ll be cheered and encouraged every step, jump, and push-up along the way. Campers set their level of intensity and everyone is encouraged to reach his/her personal goals. No one is forced to go beyond their abilities. It’s a great opportunity for campers to explore how fun hard work can be. At some locations, families are welcome to attend to observe and encourage campers, you will be notified by your camp director before camp if this is available.
Camp Store- At some locations, there is a camp store that sells anything from snacks and sports drinks to NBC gear such as t-shirts and sweatshirts. When there is a camp store, there is also a camp bank located near the check-in tables on the first day. Parents can give money to the camp bank on behalf of their camper so they can purchase merchandise or snacks from the camp store. We recommend sending between $40-$60 for snacks, drinks, apparel, and other products. On the last day of camp, parents should retrieve any unspent money. Not all locations have a camp store.
Golden Ruler Award- The Golden Ruler Award is the highest achievement at NBC Camps. It is designed to teach campers to become a person of depth and reflection while instilling the importance of community service, discipline, and accountability. The criteria for the award are very strict, thus only campers ages 13-18 may try for the award. Those who would like to attempt this should bring a notebook and a Bible. Criteria include journaling, designing workouts, memorization, testing, essays, and more. *Not all locations offer the Golden Ruler
International Travel Teams- NBC invites athletes ages 14-18 on international tours through the NBC Travel Teams program. Campers will learn about NBC tours at camp and can apply for one of our teams by contacting Travel Team Director Breanna Lyons at travelteams@nbccamps.com or visit http://www.nbccamps.com/international

GROWTH
My camper came back with a fire like I have never seen for basketball. She went on to win this past weekend’s last AAU tournament with her team and receive tourney MVP. Her play was full of grit and fire. In my opinion, this was a direct correlation to her experience at camp this week. THANK YOU!

My boys love NBC basketball camps! I would like to let you know how amazing the athletic trainer was for my son at camp. He sprained his ankle and she took fantastic care of him and was in consistent communication with my husband and I. I truly can't thank her & NBC camps enough for her awesome care. Because she was so diligent with icing, elevating, advil, and keeping him off it by the time he came home he was walking no problem. It is hard being far away from you child when they get hurt but I knew he was in good hands with her. Thanks again!!

Fantastic!
Roger was very inspirational. Outstanding leader. I earned the Golden Ruler this year. I was challenged to achieve which made me appreciate the award even more. Needed this camp
The whole premise of making the kids better first is what I think NBC does so well. Using basketball as the vehicle. NBC also shows the kids they can work harder and challenge themselves, push themselves to new limits. It was exactly what my son needed!
— Parent of Ethan R.
-
Great job
NBC Camps coaching was excellent, the organization of registration and schedules were well done. NBC did a great job teaching being a great person, having integrity and good values are important. The instruction of the whole person as an athlete was taught well-- not enough coaches stress this anymore and NBC Camps does a great job. My son is coming back.
